ENCOURAGEMENT TO KEEP BUGGING GOD IN PRAYER

I sit at work / school with the same ten people everyday for grad school at the Air Force Command and Staff College. We are about half way through the year and have gotten to know each other pretty well. I have been thinking a lot about how to be a good ambassador of Christ to the group. Recently, I decided to start praying for each of them individually. I put each person's name on a separate notecard and try to pray over one of them daily.

This week God answered one of those prayers. I prayed for one of the guys and his whole family on Friday morning. Later that evening, they gave me a ride to and from a Christmas party. On the way back from the party, the conversation turned to spiritual things and they asked me about my faith. I shared a little with them and told them about one of the books I read, More Than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell. Since they were interested in the book, I was able to give them a copy.

I don’t always recognize God’s answers to prayers. But times like this are encouraging to me and I hope to you as well.

Be encouraged to keep praying, keep looking for ways to love those around you, keep striving to live as an ambassador for Christ, and keep striving after the Lord at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
